What is AgeVerify?
AgeVerify is an age verification app for Shopify stores that helps you comply with age-restricted product regulations. It displays a customizable popup that requires visitors to confirm their age before accessing your store.

Quick Start Guide
Step 1: Install the App Block
- Go to Online Store → Themes in your Shopify admin
- Click Customize on your current theme
- Click App embeds (puzzle piece icon in the left sidebar)
- Find AgeVerify and toggle it ON
- Click Save
Step 2: Configure Settings
- Open the AgeVerify app from your Shopify admin
- Click Configure settings
- Set your preferences: Minimum age, Verification mode, Theme
- Click Save
Step 3: Test Your Store
- Open your store in a new incognito/private browser window
- You should see the age verification popup
- Verify it works as expected

When enabled, verified visitors won't see the popup again:
Page Targeting (Pro)
- All Pages: Popup shows on every page
- Include Only: Only show on specific pages (e.g., collections/wine)
- Exclude: Show everywhere except specific pages

Troubleshooting
Popup Not Showing
- Check if app block is enabled (Theme → Customize → App embeds)
- Check if verification is enabled in app settings
- Check page targeting settings
- Check scheduling settings
- Clear cookies or use incognito mode
Popup Shows But Doesn't Work
- Check browser console for errors (F12 → Console)
- Verify JavaScript is enabled
- Check for theme conflicts - try disabling other apps
